
Introduction to Compositing
Use layering to create composited imageryThis class introduces students to the basics of compositing. Through weekly lectures, in-class exercises, and homework assignments, students will learn the fundamental concepts of compositing inside of Adobe’s After Effects. Emphasis is placed on the user interface, compositions, keyframing, layers, footage, color keying, 3D layers, and a variety of tools utilized in compositing workflows. Classes include After Effects demonstrations and discussions of compositing methods, as well as project critiques and industry tips. Students will explore various styles of compositing through their assignments, working towards a final project for presentation.
