
Environment Creation for Games
Learn to build interactive environments for gamesThis course presents students with the techniques currently used in game production to create complex real-time environments. Course lecture topics cover building modular assets on a grid, sculpting tiled textures, and set dressing. Proficiencies highlighted in the class include scene composition and efficiency, modeling and sculpting, baking and transferring maps, creating textures and materials, and level assembly. Students will progressively learn skills through homework assignments which build towards developing a lit and color graded final portfolio piece for presentation and critique.
