Intro to Game Creation

Want to learn how professional game designers develop a game from concept to completion for franchises like Red Dead Redemption, God of War, and Kingdom Hearts? This camp is designed to give students a detailed overview of the game making process.

Discover the basics of the game development pipeline and level creation. Students will also receive an introduction to working in a game engine as they use Unreal 4 to create their own explorable levels.

In addition to in-class instruction, the average day at Gnomon’s Digital Arts Summer Camp also includes a catered lunch and a guest speaker presentation. Students will have the opportunity to hear from a respected artist working in the entertainment industry for a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to create art for movies, TV, and games.

When the course is completed, students will have a basic understanding of how to navigate a game engine and will have created their own game level in UE4.

Gnomon's Digital Arts Summer Camp was developed with the belief that everyone has a creative side. Our small class sizes allow instructors to personalize guidance based on previous experience and artistic goals. Regardless of your ability, we invite Digital Art Summer Camp students to explore their potential at Gnomon.
